The course didn't start or the screen is blank
Close the course window and start again.
If the problem persists, please check that JAVA RTE and FLASH Player are installed on your computer. You can check your software versions by selecting the Software Test page.
When the minimum software requirements have been met, run the course again.
If an error still occurs, please contact us.
How does the registration work?
On our homepage under the login button is “New User/Account registration”. Select and follow the instructions. Type in all required information (marked with a red star), read the user agreement, select "Agree", and finally on "Save". This starts an automatic process. You will receive an email informing you the registration was successful, the information will be reviewed, and either approved or rejected within 48 hours (no later than 72 hours at the weekend). If your application is approved, you will receive an email confirmation.
I forgot my password
On the login page, you will see a "Forgot password?" link below the area to type in your login information. Select and follow the instructions. You will receive an email to your personal email address that includes a link to set a new password. An administrator must reset the account before the new passwords can be used.
I forgot my username
On the login page, you will see a "Forgot username?" link below the area to type in your login information. Select and follow the instructions. You will receive an email to your personal email address that includes a link to set up your username with a new password.
How to change my personal information and password
After logging in, you will find a folder called "Personal Profile". Select that link to see your registration information. You can change everything, except your username. Make sure that all required fields are filled and select "Save" to submit the changes.
How to find the ADL courses
First option is to use the search tool the start screen, after logging in (upper right side).
Your start screen is your personal desktop; from here, you can access all areas of our LMS. You will find two navigation bars: one on top of the page (Personal Desktop, Repository, Seach, Mail) for main navigation and another just below the main one to navigate your personal desktop (Overview, Personal Profile, Calendar, Private Notes, Bookmarks and Learning progress).
To find a specific course, you have two options:
1. Use the search function from the top navigation bar, or
2. Select "Repository" from the top navigation bar to browse manually
The search results are links to the found courses available The repository shows different categories, which are sorted by Education Facilities.
My username and password didn't work
This may be caused by the following possibilities:
1. You tried logging into the wrong database (Remember, each database has its own Username and Password)
2. You typed in a wrong Username/Password combination. Try again with the correct LOGIN data.
If you still have problems with your LOGIN, please contact the administrator for additional help. Don't register again, unless advised to do so by an administrator.
I want to unsubscribe from a course or I registered for the wrong course
Navigate to that course and select the "Members" folder. There, you will find a button to unsubscribe. Follow the instructions provided and you will receive a success email.
There are courses with confirmation and I can't join directly
Some of our courses have security restrictions, based on the owner's decision. If you would like to register for these courses, your request will be checked and we will send confirmation to your personal email regarding, whether it has been approved or rejected.
Does my computer meet the ACT Learning Management System requirements?
To have the full capability to use all courses, the JAVA Run Time Environment and the FLASH Player Plug-In are needed. JAVA and FLASH are needed to see and navigate through the courses. Please check the availability of these Plug-Ins before you begin. You can check your software versions by selecting the Software Test page.
On that page, your software version will be checked and compared with the minimum requirements. If there is an installation or update needed, you will see it here. Please make sure to have the required version to start. If you do not have the rights to install software on your machine, ask your local administrator for help.
I didn't get the green complete button after finishing a lesson
After reaching the last page of a lesson, please wait until it is fully loaded to make sure that the complete code is transferred to the SCORM tracking tool.
The certificate link isn't active, but I completed all lessons
If you finished all lessons from a module or a course, when your return to the Learning Management System the certificate link should be active. If not, just use the refresh option from your browser and the link will be active. Otherwise, check the learning progress, to ensure 100% completion.
